Record Streak snapped

The Buzzards set a new franchise record unbeaten streak of 24 games and saw it come to an end on March 25 vs the Wolves.
This ended 2 streaks.. The Buzz had never lost to a B-Division team prior to this game.
Full credit to the Wolves who got the short-staffed Buzzards down early. With only 8 skaters, the Wolves 4-1 1st period lead was too tough to overcome.
The Buzzards finished the last game of the regular season with a win against the Cruisers.
The 33-4-5 season marks the strongest record in the A-Division since the 2004-05 season (Buzzards went 34-4-4 that year).
This marks the 6th time in 9 seasons that the Buzz have finished in 1st place in the HHL A-Div.
Justin Perry finished as the team leader in points (83) and assists (59), while Steven Bunney led the team in Goals (38) and PIM (38)
The Buzzards now have their sights set on becoming the 1st repeat Champion in the HHL A-Division in 11 years.
It was a great night to be Craig Westlake's Easton stick.
Westy's twig had 8 points (1G, 7A) last night to lead the Buzzards to a 12-3 win over the Cowboys.
The stick was used by Bruce Mulherin.
(If you include Westy... Westy AND his stick combined for 9 points.)
Steve Reade returned after nearly 6 weeks off to fire his first Buzzards hat trick.

Ryan Panet really knows how to go out on top..
He helped bring the Buzzards a championship last spring, then celebrated by knocking up his wife Michelle & this season he stepped it up a notch by being tied for the team lead in goals...
It was at that point that he decided that there was nothing left for him to prove in Calgary. Penz dropped a bomb and announced his immediate retirement and family would be moving to Toronto.
The Buzzards wish the Panet family the best in Toronto.
