"Jolly" Rogers is the epitomy of what being a Buzzard is all about. He is quality guy & a hard working two-way hockey player that likes to drink beer and eat steak. He is a model of consistency and even Buzzards Alumni Sheldon Gardiner thinks he's a pretty good player.
Kelly got a late start on the 2000-2001 season after sacrificing his frail body in a City Playoff Match with the Rough Sliders Slo-Pitch team. Reconstructive surgery was needed to recreate his bionic body. He has since returned to his stellar game shape.
In 2001-02 it was no coincidence that both of his linemates both finished in the Top 5 in the Heritage league scoring race. Linemates Jeff Helper & Dan Pilling were lucky to see first hand what the most patient player in the game can do with the puck. He has earned the nickname "snake charmer" for his uncanny knack for outwaiting his opponent.
Jolly announced his retirement in 2004 to become a member of the newly formed Buzzards Over-35 Team The Old Buzzards (or Vultures).
