#77 - Derek Robinson

Recruited in 2004 by fellow U of L Pronghorn teammate Ryan Iannone, Derek joined the Buzzards as a spare.

In his first game as a Buzzard he scored two goals including the game winner. In his first HHL League finals game he scored 4 goals in a 5-1 win. He went on to lead the playoff scoring race with 8 points in 3 games (tied with linemate Chris Szysky)

The lanky forward (no relation to Buzzard veteran Jeremy Robinson) has a knack for the net, but he is openly chastisted by veteran Buzzards for being 50 lbs under the team average playing weight.

A former teammate of Chris Jamieson in Junior, they both openly bragged about being in the same pre-natal class in the winter of 2004.

Derek's speed and offensive prowess make him a strong & welcome addition to the Buzzards arsenal.
